Mike Clark puts his name on the Roy Ross Memorial Trophy, congratualtions Mike and team Clark!
Riddle me this? I know how to fix a loose car in the corner but how do you fix a bad loose condition at the flag stand? EIR had heavy rains all week and although it was beautiful and sunny for Saturday's race, water was seeping from the track in the front stretch. Bad enough for the Legends to decide not to race but the Modifieds gave it a go anyway, it wasn't that bad, the rooster tails coming off the front tires looked pretty cool under the lights
Once we got used to the four wheel slide from the flag stand to just before the apex in turns 1-2, things got pretty racy.
During the first heat race, a daring bump and run put the #8 in the lead over the #13 after the checkered flag, it was Merl's fault anyway, he backed out and there was nothing I could do! Oops, my bad
Barry McTavish set fast time with a 14.13
Merl Fitzpatrick won the trophy dash with a 4th lap pass to get around the 44
1st heat
13, 8, 24, 92, 31, 14, 23, 44, 98
2nd heat

47 lap feature
